Achilles Cottage is a single-level ground-floor property. Specifications:

Two bedrooms, one bathroom.
Capacity up to four guests.

Private outdoor seating area.
Private entrance separate from the main villa.
No shared amenities with the main villa.
No access to the main villa’s saltwater pool. The website states this directly: pool access is available only to main villa guests.

The cottage is designed around independence rather than amenity overlap with the main estate. The property’s positioning is set apart from the main estate, Achilles Cottage offers privacy, comfort, and simplicity in a one-level layout.

Where the Cottage Sits

Kardamyli is a working year-round Greek village of about 300 permanent residents on the western edge of the Mani Peninsula. The historic Old Town of Kardamyli, with its tavernas, cafés, and stone alleyways, is reachable on foot from the property. Foneas Beach is about 4 km south, Kalogria and Stoupa beaches are about 7 km south. Most guests rent a car at Kalamata Airport for the area’s narrow coastal roads, which have no sidewalks.

The village is named in Homer’s Iliad, Book 9, and was the home Sir Patrick Leigh Fermor chose for himself. His stone house at Kalamitsi, just south of the village, is now held by the Benaki Museum and reopened to the public in October 2019.

Booking Structure

Achilles Cottage uses the same booking structure as the main villa. A five-night minimum applies during peak season. Two-to-four-night gap-date stays may be available between confirmed bookings at special rates. Direct bookings confirmed within 24 hours of an inquiry may be eligible for a 10% courtesy discount. Stays of 28 nights or longer qualify for the 40% extended-stay rate.

One important note: Achilles Cottage cannot be combined with the main villa or the Entire Estate booking. Guests booking the cottage rent it as a fully separate property, with no add-on access to the main villa’s pool or amenities.
